The Liberty Hill Independent newspaper has been in business since October 1987. We strive to provide the Liberty Hill community with their hometown news. We are independently owned by husband and wife team Dan and Diane Pogue. We are incorporated as Truth In Ink, Inc.

The Liberty Hill Independent School District has been the heart of the Liberty Hill community for many years. The Pogues have been active in covering school news since 1989 and continue to support Liberty Hill students. The school district encompasses 100 square miles. Liberty Hill incorporated a two square mile area in 1999. The Liberty Hill Independent has covered the City Council since incorporation.

Liberty Hill is on the edge of a business boom, having just completed a wastewater line along Highway 29 in late 2008. A wastewater line is nearly completed to serve the Historic downtown area. Families are moving to Liberty Hill at a rapid rate because of the high marks the school district has earned from the Texas Education Agency. All three elementary campuses (grades 1-6) were rated "Exemplary" for the 2008-09 school year. The junior high and high school campuses were rated "Recognized."
